What is Art by the Glass?
Art by the Glass is a mobile paint and sip art studio! We will bring everything you need to throw a memorable painting pARTy at your home, including tables, stools, and all the painting supplies.
How has Covid-19 affected classes?
Our public venues that usually host us are not able to do so at the moment, so we have started offering regular online painting parties. We will deliver all the supplies for the class you select and give you an online link to attend the event. If you would rather do an in-person class, as long as you have a venue that is able to host us and meets any sort of social distancing requirements, we are more than happy to help out.
What do I need to provide?
If you are having the pARTy at your home, all you need is to provide the space, and whatever snacks and drinks you would like for the evening. We will provide everything else to create a memorable night with paint including the tables and stools if you need them!
I want to throw a private pARTy, but don’t want to do it at home…?
That’s okay! We have a couple local venues working with us at the moment that you can select from to make the party planning simpler. If there is a venue not listed that you would like to throw the party at, please let us know and we will contact them to make sure there are no conflicts.
Our list of venues will be growing, but at the time we recommend Spirit of Texas Distillery, The Dig Pub, and Black Sugar Caffé.
Do you offer Painting Parties for Kids?
Yes we do! We throw some awesome birthday parties that create a unique and memorable experience for your little one. Check out more information on our page,
What paintings do you offer?
We have over two hundred paintings to choose from, and you can view them in our gallery. If there is something you would like to see that we haven’t thought of yet, let us know! We would love to hear suggestions. We also offer free custom paintings for private events. Just give us an idea of what you’d like painted, but please keep in mind that we do not copy other’s work, though we can make paintings that are different but similar.
Do you offer any food or drinks?
Food and drinks are up to the customer to provide. For our private events from your home, please feel free to bring whatever you’d like by way of snacks and beverages. Our local venues both ask that you do not bring outside alcohol. Food is welcome at Spirit of Texas Distillery, but please do not bring any food to The Dig Pub or to Black Sugar Caffé since they also serve food.
What should I wear?
Even though we provide an apron (and tarps to cover your floors), we suggest you wear clothes that you wouldn’t mind getting a little paint on. Creativity can sometimes get messy, and paint is very hard to get out of clothes!
I have never painted; will I be able to do this?
Our classes are geared to the novice painter (i.e. those that have never picked up a brush!). Our instructors keep a slow, but steady pace with clear, easy-to-follow instructions, and you will have a beautiful painting by the end of the night.
Can I keep my painting?
You paint it; you keep it! Hang it on your wall or give someone special a one-of-a-kind gift made especially by you.
What if I don’t have enough people to meet the minimum requirement of people for a private pARTy?
Check out our promotions to see if we are offering anything at the time to help you out! If you are just a few short, just let us know. Drop us a line– We understand it can be hard to gather a big party of people together, and we would love to work with you.
Why is the calendar blank?
Our calendar can sometimes be blank, or no classes will be showing. This is only because during that month we are not holding any public classes. But our schedule is always open for private parties. If you know of a venue that would be willing to host us, please let us know! We would be glad to work something out so we can fill our calendar with more events!
Can I bring my kids?
Absolutely! If you are bringing your kiddo to one of our venues that is serving alcohol, you must make sure you are with them at all times if they will be painting with us. We don’t mind!
We also throw some great children’s birthday parties but unfortunately don’t have any venues that we are partnered with at the moment for kids parties. If you have somewhere in mind that you’d like to have us work with, feel free to ask and we can get in contact with them.
How much does it cost?
Public class pricing can range from $25 to $50, depending on the type of class being offered at the time. We also do not include any type of food or beverage in our cost. Cost of food and drinks are separate and can be purchased through the venue.
How much does a private party cost?
Our mobile private event pricing varies but starts at $25 and covers many of the different classes we offer, and requires a minimum of 5 or more painters. This includes all the supplies you will need (canvas, brushes, paint, aprons, easels, etc). We will even supply tables and stools if you need, or we can just bring a tarp and tablecloths to protect your furniture. We do require about 30 minutes to set up (at no extra cost) before the guests begin to arrive.
We do not charge a traveling fee if going to the northern Austin area, Cedar Park, Leander, Round Rock, Hutto, Pflugerville, or Georgetown. If you are further out than these locations, please give us a call so we can determine the traveling fee.
What type of classes do you offer?
We offer a wide array of different and unique classes. We have traditional Canvas Painting, Canvas Word Art, Wine Bottle Painting, Glass painting, Paint-your-Pet, Stylized Portraits, Open Paint, Date Night paintings, wood sign paintings, and more. All these classes are available for Private parties, however our specialty classes like Paint Your Pet and Stylized Portraits may cost a little more per painter.
Do you need a deposit to reserve a date?
We do require a $50 deposit to hold a private event. This amount comes out of the total amount of the party. If each guest is paying for their registration fee separately, we only require one person to register to hold the spot. This deposit is refundable up to 24 hours prior to the event. If an emergency arises, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us and we’ll see how we can help you out.
Where do I sign up?
You can check our calendar for classes available to sign up, or fill out our Private party request form to get started in signing up for an awesome private party.
You will need a credit card to reserve your class. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and Amex. If you choose not to pay online, please call the studio (512-763-5045); credit cards are used to guarantee the reservation and you can pay differently when you check-in for your class.
