Online Glass Painting for The Hollows

**This is an event exclusively for residents of The Hollows**

  1. Please select from the drop down how many glasses you'd like to paint on.
  2. Tell us in the comments what type of glasses you'd like; you can do different glasses or all the same (Choose from Wine Glasses, Stemless Wine Glasses, Mason Jars, Coffee Mugs, or Beer Glasses).
  3. Once you've signed up, email us at artbytheglassstudio@gmail.com to let us know what design you're going to be painting (this is an open paint and you can choose any design you'd like).  You can also let us know if you have any color requests. You can check out our Pinterest board here for different designs you can try.
  4. We will provide some basic instructions before the event via email so you have an idea on how to start.  During the event we'll be demonstrating different techniques and can answer any questions you may have.

All supplies are delivered the day before the event. Please include in the comments what type of glasses you'd like to paint on along with the colors you will want.   Extra brushes and paints will be provided if 3 or more glasses are selected from the drop down.

Colors to choose from (basic colors; we do have various shades available if you need something besides what is listed i.e. Light Blue, Hot Pink, etc):
Pink, Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Turquoise, Blue, Dark Blue, Purple, Brown, Black, White.

Metallics (we do not have various shades of metallics, only what's listed): Pink, Red, Orange, Gold, Green, Blue, Dark Blue, Gunmetal, Icy Blue, Pewter, Black, Silver, Brown (coppery), pearl.

 

What's included:

  1. A pair of glasses of your choice
  2. Paints (colors of your choice)
  3. Paper plates for mixing paints
  4. Disposable apron
  5. 2 paint brushes
  6. Container of rubbing alcohol to erase mistakes
  7. A few Q-tips, cotton balls, and paper towels
  8. Disposable cup for water (rinsing brushes)
  9. Disposable covering for work area
  10. Bag to contain everything
  11. Grocery bag for some supplies that can be used as a trash bag at the end.
  12. If you know the design you're going to do, we'll send you a quick guide for the best way to achieve your design before class starts.
  13. Guidance will be provided online via GoToMeeting (instructions will be sent with your receipt) and our instructors will be able to provide you with help, tips, and best practices to get a great looking glass!
  14. Printed instructions on how to bake glasses once your done (in oven) to make them permanent.  The glasses are dishwasher safe once baked but we still recommend hand washing.
    What's not included but you are welcome to use:Hair dryer to dry paints faster during class
    Large or extra small brushes (we will provide a small and medium brush)
    Disposable Gloves (to avoid fingerprints)
    Painting pens (specific to glass painting, sometimes can make letters easier.  Can be purchased from local craft stores)


This class is great for beginner and advanced artists, adults, children, or the whole family.  You will be provided alcohol that can wipe away any paint if you mess up like a magic eraser.
